PURPOSE: To surely supply fuel to a carburetor located at a high position even if a vertical multiple cylinder engine is equipped with a small type of small capacity fuel pump. CONSTITUTION: A serial four-cylinder engine E, whose crankshaft is perpendicularly arranged, for an outboard motor has the first fuel pump 64a for supplying fuel to carburetors 54a1 , 54a2 for two upper cylinders and the second fuel pump 64b for supplying the fuel to carburetors 54b1 , 54b2 for two lower cylinders. The first and the second fuel pump 64a, 64b are provided on the side wall of a cylinder head 8, and driven by a pump driving cam provided on a cam shaft. |
