<p>PURPOSE: To record taken video signals or externally-inputted video signals by maintaining a high-quality C/N by confirming the recordable capacity of a disk and recording compressed data stored in a buffer memory. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 20 calculates the recordable capacity of a disk by reading the directory and file position table of the disk by controlling a magnetic recorder 92 and a driving section 93. When the calculated capacity is sufficiently large, a sensing section 10 inputs the information on white balance correction and exposure upon inputting release timing and controls exposure and white balance correction. A CPU 20 splits RGB color signals inputted to a digital signal processing section 80 by using a drive signal from a drive signal generating section 30 into luminance signals Y and color difference signals C and compresses the signals Y and C after sampling. When all compressed data are stored in a buffer memory 91, the CPU 20 records the data stored in the memory 91 on the disk by outputting record control signals to the memory 91, driving section 93, and recorder 92 and corrects the directory and file position of the disk.</p> |
