PURPOSE: To improve sterilization effect at the time of hand-washing by providing a gas diffusion preventing unit to prevent gas from being discharged to the atmosphere together with water of anode electrode of an electrolytic cell from a faucet of a hand-washing sink, thereby causing the gas having sterilizing power to flow against the hands of a user when he washes his hands. CONSTITUTION: Raw water in a water tank 4 to which an electrolyte has been added is forcibly circulated to an elecrolytic cell 5 by a pump P, where the raw water is electrolyzed to generate anode water and cathode water. The cathode water is returned to the tank 4 through a cathode water conduit 6, while the anode water is sent to a hand-washing sink 2 through an anode water conduit 7 and returned then to the tank 4 through an anode water return conduit 9 from a faucet 8. A gas diffusion preventing unit 10 is provided to prevent the gas delivered from the faucet 8 with the anode water from being discharged to the atmosphere. That is, in the unit 10, an upper space S of the sink 2 is covered with a cover having a hand insertion port and a gas discharge conduit 13 with a gas adsorption filter F2 is connected to the cover, and a gas drawing means 12 is provided in the conduit 13. |
