PURPOSE:To excite vibration with an improved efficiency as an entire ultrasonic vibrator and to sufficiently obtain the thrust and speed of an ultrasonic motor by joining a lamination-type piezoelectric element and an elastic body on a surface where the lamination-type piezoelectric element and the elastic body contact. CONSTITUTION:Lamination-type piezoelectric elements 5 are laid out at both sides of a convex part 3 of a basic elastic body 2 and an elastic member 7 for retention is fixed on the basic elastic body 2 by screws 8. At this time, the lamination-type piezoelectric element 5 is retained and fixed while a compression force is applied between the convex part 3 of the fundamental elastic body 2 and the elastic member 7 for retention and is sealed by the convex part 3 of the basic elastic body 2, the elastic member 7 for retention, and epoxy adhesive. Further, each contact part of the side surface part of the lamination- type piezoelectric element 5 in contact with the basic elastic body 2 and that of the basic elastic body 2 and then that of the elastic member 7 for retention and that of the basic elastic body 2 are joined by epoxy adhesive, thus exciting an efficient vibration and increasing the thrust and speed of an ultrasonic linear motor. |
