摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the communication network in which kinds of operating frequencies are a few and the accumulation of loss and reduction of the pass band width are not caused by sharing optical signals to N-sets of outgoing optical fibers according to the wavelength of the optical signals made incident from N-sets of incoming fibers. CONSTITUTION:Each one optical fiber is allocated as an outgoing signal channel sent from a center node 1 to N-sets of remote nodes 2-1 to 2-5 as to N-sets of optical fibers in an optical transmission line including 2N-sets of optical fibers. Each one optical fiber is allocated as an incoming signal channel sent from the N-sets of remote nodes 2-1 to 2-5 to the center node 1 as to other N-sets of the optical fibers. The center node 1 inputs signals arrived through the N-sets of optical fibers being incoming channels and is provided with an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer that demultiplexes the signals based on frequencies f1, f2, ..., fN and its output is connected to the N-sets of optical fibers being the outgoing signal channel. Thus, communication network in which kinds of operating frequencies are few and the accumulation loss and reduction of the pass band width are not caused is obtained.
