Removal spaces (30) allocated to the several feed pistons (16) are interconnected by a ring channel (31), using ring channels between both sides of the piston and the spaces. The spaces (30) issue into the respective ring channel through a funnel, or again the pistons draw oil etc. out of the attendant spaces (30) through short entries leading into the connecting channel. Spaces and ring channel both lie within the body of the pump. In an alternative design, spaces, housing and ring channel are machined into the pump body. The ring channel confronting the suction connection in the pump rotation sense is of narrower section than the remaining channels. The single suction connection (35) standardises piston operating conditions.
