摘要 PURPOSE:To increase a yield by decreasing the variations in the photoelectric characteristics of solar batteries obtd. by providing a cap of a vessel for calcination for sintering semiconductor films applied and formed on substrates with plural pieces of apertures having specific aperture area rates. CONSTITUTION:Paste contg. CdS powder and CdCl2 powder of a flux is applied in prescribed patterns on the transparent glass substrates having an electrical insulation characteristic and the substrates with the coating film forming surfaces faced upward after drying are put into the boat of the ceramic vessel for calcination and the vessel is covered with the cap of the vessel for calcination. The cap 7 having the plural apertures 8 around the grid points of grid-shaped virtual lines is used as this cap. At this time, the aperture area rates of the apertures 8 are so set as to be larger in the part on the side inner than the peripheral part of about 3 to 10cm from the periphery; for example, the aperture area rate for the entire part of the substrates is set at <=2%, the aperture area rate in the central part at 1.5 to 3.0% and the aperture area rate in the peripheral part at 0.5 to 1.5%. This vessel is put into a calcination furnace, where the coating films are calcined to form the CdS films. Further, the CdTe films, etc., are formed, by which the solar batteries are obtd.
