Rail section elements connector

The device connects rail section elements of a line-type light strip. The rail sections are basically U-shaped and have a base region (2) and two side regions (4a,b). The free ends bear guide elements (5a,b). The free ends (11a,b) of shoulders (10a,b) of the U-shaped connector element (8) can be inserted in the guide element (5a,b) guided by the rail section elements. The device also has parts for making a mechanical and electrical connection between the base (2) and a bridge (9) of the connection element (8). The mechanical connection is made by a leaf spring element (14) carried on the bridge (9). This has a first elongate part (14b) supported against the bridge part (9) and a second elongate part (14c) supported against the base (2). It also has an end region, sloped in the assembly direction and provided with cutting or piercing parts (15).
