Camera trolley and carriage weight balancing method for TV and film studio cameras

The method involves balancing a camera trolley equipped with a double-arm out-rigger (44) which is swivel-driven by an electric motor (22). On one arm (56) of the out-rigger is provided a holder (50-52) for a camera mounting and at least one camera operator. Balance weights are provided on the other arm (53). The driving torque of the electric motor is measured during swivelling motion of the outrigger arm using a lifting pillar (2), swivelling axis (45) and a connection rod (55). The required balance weight (54) is applied on the basis of the measured result.
