<p>PURPOSE:To improve valve timing controlling responsiveness by preventing inclination of a rotational body and securing smooth mobility of a phase conversion means. CONSTITUTION:Axial movement of a cylindrical gear is regulated through a servo mechanism 24, which gear 5 is arranged between a sleeve 2 of a cam shaft 1 and a timing pulley 4. Relative rotational phases of the shaft 1 and the pulley 4 are converted to vary a valve timing of an intake valve. First and second flanges 10, 11 are arranged respectively on front and rear ends of a cylindrical main body 8 of the timing pulley 4. The timing pulley 4 is supported at two points in respect to the sleeve 2 through the flanges 10, 11.</p> |
