<p>A method and machine are described for the production of rolls or bolts of sheet materials, such as paper and the like, in which the strip of paper W is sent around a first winding roller A in order to be wound around a tubular core 2, rotated between the said roller A and another pair of rollers B, C, the roller C being mounted so that it can move to permit the diameter of the roll 1 to increase and its unloading after winding, while the rollers A and B form a slot 3 through which the core 2 is transferred into the winding space, upstream of the said slot 3 there being provided a device 6 to clamp the paper W against the said roller A in order to cause it to tear and to transfer a new core 2 through the said slot 3. <IMAGE></p> |
