IDENTIFICATION AND APPLICATION OF NEUTRALIZING EPITOPE OF PORCINE EPIDEMIC DIARRHEA VIRUS

An S2a domain of a porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) spike protein is provided to be used as a target antigen capable of effectively inhibiting the PEDV infection and an oral vaccine or a probiotics for preventing the PEDV infection. A PEDV spike S2a protein is described as an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 1. An oral vaccine composition comprises an antigen using a PEDV spike S2a protein expressed from a transformant of Escherichia coli transformed by a recombinant vector comprising a PEDV spike S2a protein gene described as SEQ ID : NO. 2 or a transformant of Pichia pastoris transformed by the recombinant vector as an effective ingredient.
