PURPOSE:To surely prevent carrier depositing or fogging from occurring and to perform high-quality printing by removing residual charge on a latent image carrier at the time of finishing printing or at the time of starting printing in an image forming device used as a copying machine or a printer. CONSTITUTION:At the time of finishing the printing, an exposure means 3a is lighted over all with respect to the rotary shaft direction of the latent image carrier 1, and an exposed part on the latent image carrier 1 at the time of turning on the exposure means 3a so that it may be lighted over all is carried by a driving means 1a to reach the developing position of a developing part 4. At that time, the driving means 1a, a precharger 2a, the developing part 4 and a transfer charger 5a are simultaneously turned off and the rotation of the latent image carrier 1 is stopped following the off-control of the driving means 1a. Then, the exposure means 3a is turned off to finish the printing. |
