PURPOSE:To shorten the inspection for a circuit having a timer. CONSTITUTION:A regulator of generator for vehicle has a timer 11 to stop the power generation of the generator at the beginning of the engine starting. In this regulator, an inspection signal generation means to output a shortening command signal (Hi signal) to the input part 16a of a switching circuit 16 of the shortening means 15 by adding 18 volt or more which a battery voltage would never reach in normal use range is mounted. If the Hi signal is added to the input part 16a, the signal is by-passed a part of counters in frequency- divided counters 14 constituting the timer 11. By this, the measuring time of the timer 11 is shortened. In other words, by adding 20V to a voltage detection terminal during the inspection of the regulator, the measurement time of the timer 11 becomes shorter than the predetermined time set by the timer 11. |
