A casting mold for a low-pressure casting apparatus can be opened and closed and is closed to form therein a cavity (7) which is filled with molten metal to form a cast product. The casting mold includes an upper mold (3) of metal, a lower mold (2) of metal and a sand mold (4) which is disposed between the upper and lower molds and forms a part of the cavity (7). A top wall of the cavity is formed by a lower surface (3a) of the upper mold, at least a part of a side wall of the cavity is formed by the sand mold so that the upper mold contacts with the molten metal filled in the cavity (7) in a larger area than the lower mold.
