COMPOSITION FOR A COMBUSTION ELEMENT

The composition is designed for the preparation of smoking products. It consists of at least 50 wt.% mainly at least 60, and preferably at least 70 of powder elementary carbon, predominantly such produced by controlled paper pulp carbonization from hard wood. The composition also includes at least about 1 wt.%, predominantly 5 and preferably at least 10 wt.% suitable binder. The combustion composition can include at least 3 wt.%, predominantly 5 and preferably at least 8 wt.% powder graphite. The composition can also include 1 wt.%, predominantly at least 2 preferably at least 3 wt.% of suitable inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate or other similar. If necessary and optionally the composition may also include other ingredients, including up to 10 wt.% powder tobacco or up to 1.5 wt.% sodium carbonate and other similar.
