RECORD CARRIER, READING DEVICE, METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECORDING OF INFORMATION

Invention relates to the record carrier (21; 70), on which information volume (VOL1) is recorded in the sectors of the track (10) of the record carrier. Positions of the sectors in the track are given by logic number of the sector LSN. Information volume (VOL1) contains control information (PT, DF) aimed at the use for controlling the searching for the information recorded in information volume (VOL1). This control information (PT; DF) is arranged according to the pre-determined formate. Reference (VD1) to this control information is saved in the sectors (VD1) in pre-determined address extent (LSN = 16 to LSN = SZ). Adjacently to the first information volume (VOL1) there is to the track recorded at least following information volume (VOL2). Each following information volume (VOL2) contains an alternative reference information, aimed at controlling the searching for information in the related information volume (VOL2) as well as information volumes (VOL1) recorded before. The alternative reference information is saved in the sectors, in re-obtainable alternative address extent (LSN = offs + 16 to LSN = offs + SZ). Alternative address extent is preferably equal to the related address extent, recorded in the first recorded information volume. In the reader (fig. 8) the requirement for the access to the sectors in the address extent (VD1) in the first information volume (VOL1) is changed into the requirement for access to the sectors in alternative address extent of the last recorded information volume (VOL2). Except this the invention also relates to the method and device for recording the information in the described formate and for reader for reading the record carrier.
