PURPOSE:To enable automatic and accurate time setting of a system built-in clock by determining a reception coordinate position on the basis of information from an artificial satellite, by calculating a time difference of the position from the universal standard time and by determining the standard time of a region on the basis of this difference. CONSTITUTION:Information containing the universal standard time, which is transmitted from an artificial satellite 1, is received by a radio wave receiving means 2 of the main body 10 of a computer system on the ground and a reception coordinate position on the earth of the main body 10 is calculated 3 therefrom. By a time difference calculating means 4, subsequently, the standard time of the pertinent region is calculated from a time difference between the universal standard time and the region of the reception coordinate position. Besides, information on a linguistic zone of the reception coordinate position is determined by a linguistic zone calculating means 6 as occasion calls. Based on the standard time calculated 4, the time of a built-in clock 8 of the main body 10 is set automatically by a clock control means 5. Based on the information on the linguistic zone, besides, language setting for the main body 10 is executed automatically by a language control means 7 through a language setting means 9. |
