PURPOSE:To obtain antimicrobial spherical resin particles having excellent antimicrobial actions by feeding a mixture containing fine amorphous calcium phosphate particles, an antimicrobial metal and spherical resin particles dispersed in an aqueous medium into a high-speed air stream. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing antimicrobial spherical resin particles is to feed a mixture 4 containing fine amorphous calcium phosphate(ACP) particles 1, spherical resin particles (PMMA particles, etc.) 2 and an antimicrobial metal (Ag, etc.) 3 dispersed in an aqueous medium to a liquid coating nozzle 7 with a constant rate pump 5, then feed the mixture into a high-speed air stream produced by compressed air from a compressor 8, pass the resultant fine antimicrobial spherical resin particles 10 coated with the fine amorphous calcium phosphate particles supporting antimicrobial metallic ions through a drying chamber 9 and recover the fine particles 10 in a cyclone 12 and a filter 13 with hot air from a heater 11. |
