METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR PARAMETER DISPLAY AND INTERFACE

PURPOSE: To display partial dependency between plural related parameters in parameter display at a slider bar and a slider box in a graphical user interface. CONSTITUTION: Sliders 31 and 33 are provided with slider bars 35 and 37 movable along paths 38 and 39, and the first/second sliders are displayed on the user interface of a data processing system. A member connected with the first slider is displayed. This member is extended toward the path of the second slider and is brought into contact with a part of the second slider when one slider moves with respect to the other slider in a prescribed direction along each slider path. When a pusher 41 is not in contact with the other slider, the sliders move independently of each other. For example, the sliders are separated. When the pusher is in contact with the other slider, both sliders move linked with each other and in one body.
