PURPOSE:To miniaturize an optical pickup, to reduce price and to make it thin concerning the optical pickup formed by arranging and integrating optical elements on the surface of a light transmissive block. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 22, photodetectors 23 and 24 and objective lens 25 are arranged on the surface of a light transmissive block 21, and the inside of the light transmissive block 21 is defined as the propagating path of light almost shaped in one straight light in the longitudinal direction. Light reflecting planes 28 and 29 or light splitting planes 26 and 27 are provided at positions mutually faced to the respective optical elements 22, 23, 24 and 25 on the pertinent propagating path. |
