<p>PURPOSE: To prevent stress on a supporting plate from generating, easily install a brake, and hold constant the drive stroke of a cable, in a drum brake having a mechanical drive device. CONSTITUTION: A strut 40 limiting reperation of shoes is pivotally fitted with a drive lever 46 cooperating with one of the shoes through a pivot 52 on the one end part 50. The other end part of the drive lever 46 penetrating through the opening 54 of supporting plate 10 and the extended part 60 of the strut 40 are provided with stopping parts 55, 62 respectively supporting a cable and the envelope.</p> |
