PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material causing no blocking even if used outdoors and enhanced in water resistance by successively laminating a thermal recording and a UV curing resin layer on the surface of a support. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording layer containing a color forming system consisting of a leuco dye and an electron acceptive compd. represented by a phenolic substance is provided on a support such as a plastic film or synthetic paper and the coating film of the UV curing resin soln. applied to this thermal recording layer is irradiated with UV rays to laminate the cured resin layer to obtain a thermal recording material for an outdoor use printer. Otherwise, a coating soln. based on a water dispersible synthetic resin is applied to the thermal recording layer and dried to form an intermediate layer and the UV curing resin is laminated thereon. The UV curing resin is a resin plastic compsn. containing a photopolymerizable monomer, a prepolymer or polymers and a photopolymerization initiator as essential components. |
