The invention relates to a horizontal continuous casting plant, in particular for casting steel, having a casting ladle which has a blockable bottom opening, and having a heat-resistant device which is connected to at least two moulds. In order to be able to permit a mould exchange and/or analysis exchange in the molten metal having a minimum mixing analysis without interrupting production, it is proposed that the heat-resistant device has a molten-metal storage vessel (20) and molten-metal supply vessels (30, 40) connected downstream thereof, the molten-metal storage vessel (20) having the shape of a distribution groove (23) which has at least two bottom openings (21, 22) which can be closed by controllable bottom closures (24, 25), and a molten-metal supply vessel (30, 40) being arranged here in the flow direction after each bottom opening (21, 22) of the distribution groove (23), which vessel is designed as a trough (31, 43) and on which at least one mould (34, 44) is releasably attached in each case near to the bottom. <IMAGE>
