PURPOSE: To easily enable clock regeneration even if an input data speed or communication link data speed varies. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a means which receives an N-channel multiplexed light data signal stream obtained by sampling a corresponding electric signal at a Nyquist speed, an optical circuit means which samples a received N-channel multiplexed light data signal stream periodically so as to obtain N individual light data signal streams, and optical detecting means which convert the N light data signal streams into corresponding to optical digital output signals, and electric pulses are generated from Nyquist samples each representing one corresponding electric pulse. Light sampling can be actualized by using an optical AND gate (actualized with a Sagnac switch) having optical data input and optical clock input. |
