NOVEL BISPHENYLENESULFURANE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To provide a novel compound which is useful as an electronic material and an intermediate for medicines. CONSTITUTION:Bis(2,2'-biphenylene)sulfurane of formula I. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction of dibenzothiophene-5-oxide of formula II with trimethylsilyl trifluoromethane-sulfonate followed by reaction of the product with 2,2'-dilithiobiphenyl.
