PURPOSE:To provide the new compound useful, e.g. for an intermediate of medicines. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I or II [X is formula III (R1 to R3 are each H, a halogen, nitro, nitrile or trifluoromethyl) or an alkyl; R4 is a (substituted) acyloxymethyl, an alkoxycarbonyloxymethyl, an acyl, etc.; R5 is a (substituted) lower alkyl; R6 is H, a lower alkoxymethyl or a lower acyloxymethyl], e.g. bis(pivaloyloxymethyl) 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1- methoxymethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinecarboxylate. In addition, the compound of formula I can be obtained, e.g. by reacting a compound of formula IV with chloromethyl pivalate in the presence of diisopropylethylamine in a solvent such as DMF. The compound of formula II is synthesized by making an enzyme act on the compound of formula I. |
