The device is used in the mining industry. It improves the operating reliability in giving-in conditions. It consists of a tightening plate which is a component part and includes a profile fastener to the short arms of which additional arms are welded each containing a vertical hole which concentrically envelopes both ends of the connecting bracket containing a connection thread, both ends of which are enveloped by a locking nut. The radius of the curve connecting the lower contour of the short arm and the internal countour of the propping element is equal to 1.35 of the radius of the curve connecting the upper contour of the short arm and the external contour of the leg of the propping element. The cross section of the additional arm of the tightening plate is equal to 1.15 of the cross section of the connecting bracket, and the distance between the inner surfaces of the lowest open part of the legs of the tightening plate is equal to 1.08 of the distance between the external surfaces of the fasteners.
