PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency and precision of user's editing operation by extracting outline information, thin-line information, etc., extracting the feature quantity of a figure, and extracting the deformation or feature quantity of an image figure from the result of the feature quantity. CONSTITUTION:A feature extraction part 2 detects graphical features such as the inflection points, intersections, end points, line width, center, inclination, etc., of an image according to information obtained from a position information input part 1 and a process item specification part 2, e.g. preprocessed data. In this case, the processed data are obtained by approximating, for example, the outline, thin lines or respective lines to segments. Then, a feature quantity output part 4 processes the image by using the preprocessed data obtained from a position information input part 3 and a process item specification part 4 and outputs necessary data. Further, an image deformation processing part 6 processes the image according to the information obtained from the position information input part 3 and process item specification part 4 and deforms the image by using the extracted feature quantities. |
