MANUFACTURE OF MULTILAYER CERAMIC BASE

PURPOSE:To improve the smoothness, electric resistance and solder wettability of an electrode pattern of an uppermost layer which is baked simultaneously with a base, by using a green sheet which has a hole opened by processing and is constituted of an inorganic composition not being sintered at the baking temperature of a base material. CONSTITUTION:A green sheet 4 which has a hole 5 opened by processing at a place to be joined to the top of a part of an electrode pattern or a via electrode 3 formed on both or one surface of a green sheet laminate 1 constituted of low-temperature sintered glass-ceramic and which is constituted of an inorganic composition not being sintered at the baking temperature of a base material is laminated on both or one surface of the glass-ceramic green sheet laminate 1. When the laminate 1 is baked, therefore, no shrinkage occurs in any direction except for the direction of thickness. Thereby mounting of an electronic component on the electrode of the uppermost layer formed by simultaneous baking with a base can be facilitated.
