PURPOSE:To simplify the input of image information and to make a high-speed display of it in displaying image information such as map information read by an image scanner on the screen of a display device. CONSTITUTION:In this display method, image information DI read by an image scanner 12 is displayed on a screen HG of a display device 13. The image information DI read by the image scanner 12 at a time is divided into a plurarity of sectioned image areas PDE and one unit of or units of image information DIE is/are sent to a display memory 22 to be written by taking the divided image information DIE as a unit. The image information DIE is read out from the memory 22 at its display on the screen HG of the display device 13.
