The fixing comprises a flat metal plate (4) which is attached to the surface (5) to be covered. The plate has two tongues (8,9) projecting from its lower edge; the shorter tongue projecting forward from the covered surface so it can slide through a slot into the inside of a tubular edge (10) on the covering material, while the longer tongue projects behind and beneath the tubular edge. Once the covering material has been fitted in place the tubular edge is flattened, trapping the shorter tongue inside, and the longer tongue is bent up over the edge and crimped. USE - For use with sheet metal roof coverings such as zinc or aluminium, or other sheet metals which have been treated against corrosion and/or painted.
