Stable peroxycarboxylic acid granules, consisting essentially of (1) an imidoperoxycarboxylic acid or a salt thereof of the formula <IMAGE> wherein A is a group of the formulae <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> n is the number 0, 1 or 2, R1 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, C1-C20-alkyl, C1-C20-alkenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, R2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or a group of the formula -SO3M, -CO2M or -OSO3M, M is hydrogen, an alkali metal or ammonium ion or one equivalent of an alkaline earth metal ion and X is C1-C19-alkylene or arylene, and (2) an inorganic sulfate and/or phosphate salt and/or a nonoxidizable surfactant as granulation auxiliary and a copolymer based on alkenylaminomethylenephosphonic acids as a film-forming coating substance.
