<p>PURPOSE:To recover alkali efficiently by means of a moving bed of balls and endless rovings after waste gas containing dust is treated by a powder separating device and removing alkali from balls and rovings, circulating and reusing. CONSTITUTION:Dust-containing gas such as cement kiln waste gas is transferred to an alkali separating device 34 after removing powders by a powder separating device. Gas entering the draft chamber 36 condenses alkali on the surface of ball 40 in a casing 38. The balls 40 move inside the casing 38 toward the lower section and are guided into a revolving hollow cylinder 50, where balls 40 collided with each other causing friction which removes alkali on the surface of the balls, and alkali and balls 40 are separated by a separator 52, the balls being circulated and reused. Instead of the balls, endless rovings can be used, and adhered alkali can be removed with a solvent or scraped off.</p> |
