MANUFACTURE OF CATHODE FOR SOLID ELECTROLYTE TYPE HIGH TEMPERATURE STEAM ELECTROLYTIC CELL

PURPOSE:To provide the manufacture of cathodes with improved current collectivity by increasing electrochemical reaction points. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing a high temp. steam electrolytic cell using an oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte 3, a fine particle cathode 1 is formed coming in contact with the solid electrolyte 3 and a coarse particle electrode 2 is laid on the cathode 1, causing electrochemical reaction points to be increased by the fine particle cathode 1 and current collectivity to be improved by the coarse particle cathode 2. Thereby a steam electrolytic cell excelling in electrolytic efficiency is provided.
