PURPOSE: To obtain a welding method free from cracks for components of a gas turbine utilizing a high strength superalloy, particularly turbine vanes, turbine blades and a turbine rotator. CONSTITUTION: This invention is a method for welding a gammer prime precipitation reinforced nickel base superalloy, in which the whole weld zone and a region close to the weld zone are heated to an aging temp., welding is executed while maintaining the whole weld zone and the region close to the weld zone to the aging temp., and the weldment, the weld zone and the region close to the weld zone are held to a ductile temp. until the whole weld zone is solidified. The ductile temp. is the one equal to or above the aging temp. and equal to or below the initial melting temp. of the superalloy. |
