PURPOSE:To make a spindle and a holder in alignment even in the case of a shifted stopping position of a doffer by moving a bobbin holder in the spindle direction, and by engaging the position identification member with an engaging member to swing the holder. CONSTITUTION:The empty bobbin 19 is held by the bobbin holder 73 of a doffer, moved along the frame of the spinning machine having a plurality of spindles 2, and stopped. In case the center of the bobbin 19 is not in alignment with that of the spindle 2, the first engaging part 80 of the holder 73 engages with the top periphery of the spindle 2 (the chain line). The holder 73 is swung with the swing member 66, and advanced to the second engaging member 81, utilizing the spindle 2 as a position identification member. The bobbin 19 is arranged in alignment with the spindle 2, and the moving member 14 is advanced to release the holding piece 75. The bobbin 19 is dropped and inserted in the spindle 2. |
