PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for solving a technical problem generated in a graphic processor in which a proper closing line is plotted along the side of a viewing window between two points where the boundary of a section to be displayed crosses the viewing window. CONSTITUTION: At the time of operating clipping along a viewing window 4 having a window boundary 8, it is necessary to plot a closing line 10 along the window boundary between a point EX where an element boundary exists from the viewing window 4 and a point EN where the element boundary enters the viewing window 4.
