PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize the structure of a device for automatically cutting and peeling off a wampus (protecting paper) with which the outer surface of rolled paper is covered, in a printing firm, by constituting the device with a rolled paper supporting device, an elevatable wampus peel-off part supporting device, a gap forming unit and a cutter unit. CONSTITUTION:After a carrying bogie 9 carrying thereon rolled paper D comes to a stop at a predetermined position, a lift 9a is lowered so as to set the rolled paper D onto rolled roller supporting rollers 11, 11. Then, an elevating motor 14 in a wampus peel-off part supporting device 3 is driven to lower a support frame 13, and accordingly, a wampus peel-off device, a foot member 20 and the like are lowered so as to make a roller 20c of the foot member 20 into contact with the outer surface of the rolled paper D. Then, a running motor 21 is driven to shift a unit base, and thereafter, the wampus peed-off device 4 is moved to an operation starting position distant from one end face of the rolled paper by a predetermined distance. Thereafter, a gap forming device 5 forms a gap between the roller paper and a wampus therefor, and then, a cutter unit 6 cuts the wampus at a high speed. |
