The circuit forms its results serially and contains a tetrad addition (4) and two tetrad subtraction (5,6) circuits and only one results shift register (3). The circuit, which has two outputs, is designed to enable continuous addition or subtraction. It is also designed to enable further addition to or subtraction from a negative result. USE/ADVANTAGE- Is only suitable for addition and subtraction. Overcomes limitation of earlier design of not being able to add to or subtract from negative result.
