PURPOSE:To remove photomemory in an electrophotographic device and to suppress reduction of electrification performance, potential shift, etc., as small as possible. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic device includes a main destaticizing light source 16 provided near the surface of an a-Si photosensitive body 11. This light source is driven by a driver circuit 17 which generates square waves from referential waves R of <=10kHz frequency. The drum 10 is driven to rotate at a speed satisfying the relation of (rotation speed)/(frequency of referential wave R)<=1mm. The photosensitive layer 25 contains carbon atoms, oxygen atoms or nitrogen atoms with the min. content near the surface layer 23. |
