PURPOSE:To enhance reflectivity, recording reproduction characteristics and tracking properties, in the title medium for laser beam of high energy density, by forming a recording layer composed of a phthalocyanine dye represented by a predetermined general formula and a metal reflecting layer on a disc- shaped substrate having pre-groups and pre-pits provided in the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 12 composed of a phthalocyanine type dye represented by the formula I (wherein M is an atom of the Group IIIb, Pc is a phthalocyanine divalent ion which may have a substituent, X is paired ion to neutralize the electric charge and n is 0 or 1) is applied to a disc-shaped substrate 11 composed of polycarbonate wherein a ROM region (reproduction exclusive region) composed of pre-pits 15 is formed in an inner peripheral region 17 and a recordable region composed of pre-groups 16 is formed to an outer peripheral region 18. Then, a metal reflecting layer 13 is formed on the recording layer 12 by vacuum vapor deposition. |
