The invention relates to an apparatus for mitre cutting and joining together sealing profiles for doors or windows. Two profile holders each having a profile groove, a holding cover covering the latter and an oblique end edge are arranged on a base plate. One of the two profile holders can be swivelled from a cutting position, in which the two profile grooves are in alignment with each other, into a joining position, in which the end edges of the two profile holders lie against each other. In addition, the apparatus comprises welding equipment having two welding blades, which are V shaped relative to one another and, in the cutting position of the profile holder, can move past the end edges of the latter. In order to prevent in a simple way waste material cut out from the profiles getting caught between the welding blades, a substantially triangular stripper (18) is arranged, in the cutting position of the profile holders (3, 5), between the two welding blades (17). The lateral edges (19) of the stripper (18) facing the welding blades (17) form, together with the end edges (12, 13) of the profile holders (3, 4), a gap for the passage of the welding blades (17). <IMAGE> |
