The medication Laitvit - Hémorroïdes - R.K., by virtue of the content of active substance - barium sulphate - is very good for the treatment of inflammatory states of the rectum and of haemorrhoids of this region, complicated or otherwise by the inflammatory states. This medication renders invaluable services in the treatments of anal pruritus of all kinds and of rectal fistulas, above all where those of mechanical origin are concerned. As a result of this treatment a number of haemorrhoids and rectal fistulas disappear or undergo an appreciable decrease and surgical procedures are found to be unnecessary. Other antitumour-forming properties are employed for destroying carcinomatous excrescences in the case of inoperable rectal carcinomas.
