PURPOSE:To improve safety and reliability by preventing a spiral cable device allowing the movement of the handle of a steering wheel for transferring the signal from a shock detecting sensor to a gas generator from being fitted at places other than the rotation neutral position. CONSTITUTION:When a spiral cable device 25 is to be fitted, the first through third opening display sections 51, 67, 59 are positioned to be aligned on the same line W while a restricting body 55 is positioned at the middle of a screw bar 39, a screw 43 is inserted into a fitting hole 45, a tool is inserted through a notch section 65 and a through hole 53 to fasten the screw 43, and it is fitted to a combination switch cover 41. A coupling hole 15a on a steering wheel 1 side is coupled with a projection 61 on a spiral cable moving member 37 side. A boss section 3 is inserted into the screw section 5a of a steering wheel column 5, and a nut is fastened to fit it. The spiral cable device 25 is fitted at the rotation neutral position, and the positional deviation never occurs. |
