<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a socket for a leakage prevention coupler so constituted as to prevent a liquid from leaking by providing a liquid absorption material at the connection of the socket and a plug. CONSTITUTION:A leakage prevention coupler is constituted of a plug section and a socket section. The plug section is constituted with a plug housing 1, a plug leakage prevention valve 2 and a plug spring 3. Also, the socket section is constituted with a socket housing 6, a socket leakage prevention valve 7, socket spring 8 and a liquid absorption material 4. A liquid 5 leaks to the inside of the socket housing 6, when this housing 6 is released from a connected state in the coupling of a plug and a socket and subjected to the weight of only the socket. In separating the liquid 5 with the plug and the socket, however, a volumetric change at the time of compression is large. Also, the liquid absorption material 4 of good liquid absorbing quality is released from compressed state, and absorbs the liquid 5, while giving volumetric expansion. According to the aforesaid construction, the liquid 5 does not leak to the outside of the socket.</p> |
