WAVEFORM EQUALIZATION FILTER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain waveform equalization of a different distortion signal with one waveform equalization filter by setting a tap coefficient of a coefficient multiplier in the waveform equalization filter corresponding to clock changeover. CONSTITUTION:When a clock changeover circuit 2 is selected from the CATV mode into the satellite broadcast BS mode, the clock changeover circuit 2 is thrown to the position shown in broken lines. That is, a clock CLK outputted from the clock changeover circuit 2 is a 2nd clock CLK 2 and fed to unit delay elements 101-106. A control means 3 monitors the switching state of a clock switching circuit 2, and detects the changeover of the clock changeover circuit 2 to set coefficients k1-k2+1 to coefficient multipliers 111-117 corresponding to the 2nd clock CLK 2. Thus, an optimum signal waveform equalization corresponding to the distortion characteristic is implemented with simple circuit constitution.
