MANUFACTURE OF TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE RESIN PIPE

PURPOSE:To improve the denseness, external appearance and smoothness of the resin pipe concerned by a method wherein green porous TPE resin body sheet is wound round a mandrel and then the wound part is covered with rubbery elastic body so as to be isostatically pressed and, after the rubbery elastic body is removed, the wound part is burnt. CONSTITUTION:Green porous tetrafluoroethylene(TFE) resin body sheet 2 is wound by half-overlapping so as to form wound part 3. The wound part 3 of the wound matter is covered with rubbery elastic body 4. This is for uniformly transferring pressure to the wound part and also for preventing pressure medium from entering into the wound part by isostatic pressing. The wound part of the wound matter covered with the rubbery elastic body is isostatically pressed at an isostatic pressing process (a) so as to enhance the apparent density of the wound part. After the rubbery elastic body is removed, the isostatically pressed wound matter is burnt at a burning process.
