Compsn. comprises (A) an antidepressant of the 10,11-dihydro-dibenzo (b,f)azepine,dibenzo (a,d)(1,4)cycloheptadiene and/or 10,11-dihydro-dibenzo (b,f)oxepine type, or their acceptable acid addn. salts, and (B) an aminomethyl -pyrrolidinone cpd. (I), or its acceptable acid addn. salt. In (I), R1 = H, or alkyl; R2 = phenyl (opt. substd. by alkoxy, F, Cl, Br, CF3, alkyl, OH or NO2) or pyridyl; R3 = H or alkyl; R4 = H or alkyl, or NR3R4 is a satd. 5- or 6-membered ring, opt. contg. an additional O or N atom, and opt. substd. by alkyl (pref. Me); or NR3R4 is an imidazole ring; the aminomethyl gp. is at 4 or 5 position. (A) is desipramine, clomipramine, amitryptyline, nortriptyline, doxepine, maprotilin and imipramine. Pref. (I) have R1 = H; R3 and R4 = H, Me or Et; R2 = phenyl, opt. 2- or 4-substd. by F, Cl, Me or MeO.
