The invention relates to an installation making it possible to log, in real time, the fabrication times for articles manufactured in production units. Such an installation consists of a central management unit called the centre 200, around which are connected peripheral units called terminals 100, each consisting of a display screen 130 and a control desk 120, these being connected to an electronic processing unit incorporating a clock. The abovementioned control desk 120 of the terminal 100 consists of a keyboard containing functional keys F1,F2,...,F6 and information keys I1,I2,...I20 allowing input into the electronic processing unit of the data required for: - the recognition of a terminal identification code, - the recognition of an operator identification code, - the recognition of a fabrication assignment code for a manufactured article, - the initiation of the clock of the main program, - the initiation of particular functions, - the switching on and off of the terminal.
